The Capital Punishments Tee channels the bleak honesty of post-industrial Britain — a reflection of how most felt in the aftermath of economic collapse and cultural unrest. Inspired by archive photography of struggle, the design captures the quiet tension between rebellion and routine, isolation and identity.

Each image in the collage is pulled from real fragments of life: brutalist housing, working-class figures, and media distortion. Together they form a stark visual statement — a critique of social control and emotional numbness under a system that punished its own people.
